Keep holidays in mind!  The week of Easter, Semana Santa, is an exciting week full of parades and cultural events.  The entire month of September is packed with Mexican Independence celebrations including a running of the bulls, parades, evenings full of fireworks, and many fiestas!  The first days of November, Mexicans celebrate Day of the Dead.

DESIGN YOUR OWN TRIP

MexArt specializes in organizing group programs.  We'll plan workshops and classes in Spanish, art, dance or any cultural event/workshop, or you can bring and host your own workshop or family reunion while we organize the peripheral needs of your group program.  MexArt is dedicated to designing programs to meet specific goals set by each group.

The spectacular beauty and charm of San Miguel de Allende and the year-round perfect climate have created the perfect atmosphere for Spanish language learning, touring, art courses, dance exploration and much more.  The town is serviced by Leon (BJX) airport, a mere hour and half away. The cobble stone streets and rich colonial architecture transports visitors to another century. We hope that you will choose a visit to this cultural gem for your learning vacation.

What groups are eligible?  Groups of friends, museum groups, clubs, school groups, family reunions, art classes, etc....  MexArt accepts groups of adults or will provide supervision for groups of teens.

To inquire, please send an email explain the goals and needs of your group.  We will present an on-line proposal for you and other group members to view.  You may then provide us feedback to let us know how we can tailor the program better to your particular goals.  Please remember that all of our programs include many perks that are described in more detail towards the end of your proposal.

Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars per person and can be virtually all-inclusive unless otherwise stated.  There are many options and categories that can effect the cost of the group.

The custom-designed group trips include 4 major components: accommodations, meals, courses or tours, and airport pick-up/drop-off.  Participants must all start and end together, arriving into Leon on dates to be agreed upon.  Or individuals wanting to arrive earlier or later may reserve suites with us independently.

Accommodations:  Groups can be accommodated in our beautiful new property located 5-7 walking minutes from the jardin.  The property has 7 casitas situated around a meandering garden.  For larger groups, additional rentals nearby can be arranged.  Our 7 casitas can sleep 14 very comfortably with 2 individuals per unit or can accommodate up to 32 individuals using our additional twin and bunk beds.

Airport pick-up/drop-off:  If participants arrive/depart in large groups or all at once, transportation is arranged and included in the base price.  Participants arriving or departing on a different arrival or departure date are subject to a $25 fee for that transport. MexArt will also help suggest flight options into Leon.

Meals:  MexArt has a fabulous cook who is available based on the needs of the group.  Group programs can include all meals, some home cooked, others as a group in restaurants.  Or some or all meals can be "on-your-own".

Workshops:  Groups may opt for Spanish classes, art workshops (i.e. painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, jewelry), dance classes, tours, or any other focus.  Please browse our teen programs and adult workshops for ideas for your group activities.

Trips:  Here are examples of local trip opportunities. Participants may choose horseback riding in the desert mountains or opt for a mountain biking excursion led by local biking professionals. They can relax in the hot springs and laze in the sun. Another day they may plan a visit to the town of Dolores Hidalgo where hundreds of small factories produce colorful Mexican pottery. Here there's a tour of a production site and participants can shop. For $2-$3 one can bring home fabulous gifts for family and friends. Other options include a visit to the ghost town of Pozos which was famous for its silver mines, a visit to a small brickmaking village where Senor Estaban makes his pots. His pottery is displayed in the Smithsonian. There is also a full day tour of the incredibly beautiful city of Queretaro and Guanajuato.
