Penny Allport:  a creative explorer with a passion for what is possible, leads continuum movement sessions.  She is dedicated to reclaiming our humanity, remembering our divinity and accepting our responsibility for life on this beautiful blue/green planet we call Earth.  She is a Certified Yoga Teacher (11 years), and an authorized Continuum Teacher, however her greatest credentials lie in her life experience and the willingness to continually say “yes” to life and all it’s changes.  She recently sold her Inspirational Bookstore, Serendipity’s Backyard after 12 ˝ years of creation and community, to follow her passion to teach, write and simply “be”.  Her purpose is to breathe life into, and embody creatively living the Mystery.  Her curiosity and wonder at the incredible beauty of the natural world, and commitment to embracing our humanity in all it’s forms, is infectious.  What is moving her at this time in her life is learning to live in a sustainable and simple way, honoring the diversity of each individual and supporting the expression of each of our unique gifts and talents.

Judith Chaikin:  A Canadian, JUDITH CHAIKIN is no stranger to the world of business and finance. Reared in an entrepreneurial family, she created and ran several successful businesses of her own while raising her family on the west coast of Canada. This workshop reflects her passion for helping women become financially independent through acquiring knowledge and support.

Continuum Movement:   The Re-enchantment of Movement with Penny Allport is about being in the body you have, feeling deliciously alive, highly aware and effortlessly relaxed.  It is about reclaiming your birthright of embodiment and an invitation to expand your creative Self and open to the infinite possibilities of being human.  Through explorations in breath, sound, movement and inquiry we activate the fluid system and remind our organism of it's origins.  We are primarily water beings living on land.  The invocation of the fluid awakens new potential for movement, healing and awakening in the body.

Women and Money:  Often we feel confused, anxious or downright depressed about the role that money has played in our lives. We wish for a change, but are at a loss to make it happen. This story is one told repeatedly in the workshop. These same women leave revitalized and confident that they understand the feelings which controlled their actions with regard to their money behavior. Despair turns into a challenge met with joy and optimism. Money becomes just a tool that can be used to create peace and harmony in their lives.

HotelParticipants live in a small, centrally located casa de husepedes  (Casa Crayola). There are 2 to 3 participants in a suite, depending on the size of the casita.  The property is the site of a summer teen camp for 30 students between June and August.  During the rest of the year, the casitas are rented out to individual visitors to San Miguel or to group programs. Drinking water is provided. Location is in a safe neighborhood with many conveniences nearby:  general store, internet cafes, 3 bakeries, etc....  The jardin is a flat 5-7 minute walk.  For more information and photos:  http://www.gomexart.com/aurora48.htm

Flights to Leon are NOT included.  However, Leon airport (airport code BJX) is an hour and fifteen minutes away from San Miguel de Allende.  The van service will greet groups outside of customs/immigration.  The airport is serviced by Continental, American, United, Mexicana, Aeromexico and a few smaller, less-known Mexican companies.  MexArt recommends booking flights that arrive into Leon as their FIRST port of entry into Mexico. This small airport is easy to navigate and has clearly-laid-out and easy-to-follow arrival and departure routines.

Travel documents: each traveler will need a
passport OR a birth certificate accompanied by a photo i.d. (i.e. a driver's license).

Safety and Health: San Miguel is an extremely safe small town.  When crime does occur, it's usually in the nature of petty theft.  As a precaution, participants should not bring valuable items.  The water in Mexico is not potable. Participants will be educated upon arrival about drinking only bottled water and in what cases fruits and vegetables may be eaten.  MexArt requires a medical health history and treatment-release form for all participants (signed by individual or parent/guardian for minors). If sickness or injury occurs, MexArt has an arrangement with a local doctor who is on-call for MexArt participants. This doctor is capable of handling most medical situations. However, the hospital in San Miguel is more than capable of handling minor medical emergencies and the hospital in Queretaro is world class.. Medical treatment in Mexico is much less expensive than in the United States.  However, since participants are responsible for the cost of any medical attention that may be needed, they should have their own medical insurance coverage that covers them while traveling in Mexico. Participants should check with their insurance carrier prior to travel.

Payment, Cancelation and Refund Policy:  A $100 U.S. non-refundable deposit is due upon registration to hold a spot.  The balance and full payment is due by September 30th.  Those registering after this date must make the full payment upon registration.  A refund, minus the $100 U.S. booking fee, is available if the space can be filled by another participant.
