June 29: Sleep In! A handful of students met Carly at 9 am for a run/walk in the botanical gardens. Students had all morning to sleep in and go to a restaurant in small groups for brunch. At noon, MexArt went to the suburban bus stop where they took a bus to La Gruta, the hot springs (balnearios). Hot water, semi-sunny skies, snacks, swimming, etc.... A nice relaxing afternoon. After dinner, students went to Caren and David's house to watch the movie, Riding in Cars with Boys. Next week they will meet with Beverly Donofrio who wrote the book. |
